A webinar that provides practical tools for designing in a circular perspective and reducing the impact of the products to be manufactured.
80% of the impact of products is determined in the design phase: this is where a new concept of responsibility for designers and companies that put mass products on the market originates. Sustainable design requires a multidisciplinary approach: new materials, waste reduction and industrial symbiosis, energy and process efficiency, regulatory obligations, certifications.
In this webinar organized by Ecoesedra , an Eco-industrial design studio, with the support of Media Partner Merakyn - Benefit Company and consultancy agency in the Digital Communication & Sustainability field, we share a roadmap towards sustainable design, starting from an introduction by SustainMe , a hub of sustainability professionals, which demonstrates the centrality of the partnership strategy to achieve the objectives of impact reduction through circular design.
The proposal includes a reflection on the evolution from industrial design to ecodesign, which arises from Ecoesedra's direct experience in various product sectors, and an overview of the new green materials and treatments proposed by Gruppo Maip and Nalucoat , to then continue with the technical intervention of Bureau Veritas, examining the ISCC PLUS and Remade in Italy certifications in depth.
The final goal of the webinar is to spread practical tools for designing in a circular perspective and understand how a company can concretely act to reduce the impact of the products to be manufactured.
