Milan Design Week turns green from 8 to 12 April.

On the occasion of the Fuorisalone in Milan, SustainMe Hub and Ecoesedra Sustainable Design present "Percorso Ecodesign: Consapevoli e Connessi –" , in collaboration with Innovation System and Ez Lab , an immersive experience dedicated to eco-sustainable design, responsible innovation and conscious production . Economiacircolare.com will be the media partner of the event for its entire duration.
The installation will guide visitors through a journey into sustainability, delving into key topics such as environmental impact measurement, energy efficiency and the use of the digital product passport. The latter, accessible via QR code, will offer consumers transparent information on the production chain, from the design and manufacturing phases to recycling and disposal, encouraging more informed choices.
The course will also explore the latest prototyping and 3D printing techniques, essential tools for the development of innovative products with reduced environmental impact. A unique opportunity to discover the new frontiers of circular design and responsible production.
“Connecting designers, businesses and consumers in the path of awareness is an ambitious goal, from which the “Ecodesign Project: aware and connected” was born.
It will be a pleasure for our extended team to accompany visitors in this experience, to reveal what happens behind the scenes of eco-design and sustainable production,” says Nadia Foggiato , co-founder of SustainMe Hub. “We are thrilled that students from Politecnico di Milano, Artwood Academy and Scuola Cova will participate, as well as Italian and international companies and professionals.”
Maurizio Dallan , co-founder of Ecoesedra , underlines: “Designing with an eco-sustainable perspective is the key to reducing environmental impact and CO2 emissions. It is essential to consider the entire life cycle of the product, from concept to end-of-life, adopting a circular economy approach.”

The event will culminate with an exclusive workshop, on Saturday 12 April at 11.00 in the CoFactory arena , entitled "Ecodesign and product supply chain: design, IoT, reliable data, impact measurement, legal protection and digital passport" .
Elena Lazar , co-founder of Innovation System and SustainMe Hub: “The workshop will be an opportunity to delve deeper into the issues of sustainable innovation through expert interventions and concrete case studies . Sustainability comes through certain data and we will demonstrate it to you. We are very pleased to have at our side also the General Councilor of Confindustria Cisambiente Carlo Lusi who will open the event. It will be a unique opportunity for designers, companies, students and end consumers to raise awareness.”
“Sustainability is a systemic concept and everyone has their own responsibility ” concludes Erika Francescon , co-founder of SustainMe Hub, “only together can designers, companies and consumers make a difference towards more conscious products and consumer choices”.
