Sustainability Roadmap
Governance and management and executive decisions are key aspects to integrate sustainability into the entire corporate system to be more competitive and resilient .
Defining your integrated ESG strategy is a key moment for the entire organization, as it defines a NORTH to walk towards as the company navigates daily through the complexities of the current context; to guide an entire system towards its goals, oriented to values and mission, as well as its positive impact.
What to consider:
potential and actual risks;
impacts of the organization and the product/service;
significance of ESG issues in the business model;
corporate culture;
soft skills and competences;
stakeholder expectations;
industry / market / geographic trends;
legislative and political context;
technical, economic and legislative feasibility.

The Sustainability Report: A Tool for Communicating Corporate Sustainability
The Sustainability Report is a communication and engagement document for stakeholders, but also and above all an exercise in:
reflection on the integrated sustainability strategy;
definition of corporate objectives linked to ESG criteria;
creation of the management dashboard (KPI);
monitoring improvements toward a roadmap of long-term goals.
SustainMe Hub supports companies in drafting their sustainability report in line with the standards:
GRI (Simple Materiality, Information);
CSRD (double materiality, information);
VSME (basic and complete module information).
The service includes:
Double materiality analysis (for company) and simple materiality (for stakeholders);
Collection of specific primary and technical data;
Processing of information and KPIs;
Technical content processing;
Strategy development (starting from technical-legal assessment);
Identification of communication and storytelling concepts;
Document drafting;
Technical support for graphics.

The legal-technical assessment helps to understand one's positioning in terms of CSRD

The legal-technical assessment is a technical and legal consultancy service preparatory to the drafting of a sustainability report in line with (or structured according to) the ESRS standard required by the CSRD directive on the obligation to report on sustainability.
It uses an interdisciplinary work team SustainMe Hub and GTA Studio Legale that carries out an internal audit to investigate the company's positioning with respect to the three dimensions of sustainability - environmental, social and governance (ESG) based on the requirements expressed by the CSRD.
The output is a technical-legal opinion document which includes:
information gaps for CSRD compliance;
recommendations for the implementation of a strategy and short, medium and long-term actions and tools;
evaluation of the level of technological innovation as a factor that facilitates the sustainable transition of a company.
The service includes:
On-site inspection and internal audit with interviews with management roles;
Data collection and in-depth document analysis;
Preparation of legal-technical assessment document and sustainability strategy.

Green Transition:
System Integration and IoT Platforms
in support of efficiency
Simplifying complexity is one of the goals of digitalization , which includes all areas of business.
Accompaniment on this path requires advanced technical skills and concreteness .
The centrality of data therefore becomes a fundamental element in the sustainability and efficiency strategy.
How to take control of the company?
Data from the IoT OnSystem platform provides a complete overview of processes, allowing for strategic and informed choices to optimize consumption and company productivity .

Energy consumption
Optimize building or production consumption by tracking it in real time

Reporting
Extract relevant data to use to create impact measurement tools

Industry 5.0
Advanced performance monitoring, remote management via an interactive dashboard

Photovoltaic
Monitor and, thanks to AI, identify the future production of the plant and any anomalies

Maintenance management
Create, track and schedule maintenance of the various systems in the plant

Air Treatment and Thermoregulation (HVAC)
Measure indoor air quality, adjust and manage the system
What can you do with the
IoT OnSystem Platform?
Interact, integrate, monitor and get real-time data.
The OnSystem platform has a unique, intuitive and user-friendly interface that collects parameters from different assets to meet the needs of the organization and plants.

With the IoT platform you can:
Optimize resources and energy
Analyze historical trends and make forecasts
Obtain certain KPIs (performance indicators)
Identify anomalies
Evaluate production and productivity
Plan and manage maintenance
Perform preventive and predictive analysis
Simplify processes
Remotely control any type of system

Eco-Design
and impact measurement
80% of environmental impacts can be determined during the design phase.
How? Through Ecodesign , sustainable design : minimizing the environmental impact of production starting from product design.
Ecoesedra's circular approach allows the designer to study the entire life of the product , which is designed according to European regulations on sustainable design.
Linear approach
Circular approach

Focus on product usability and functionality

Focus on product sustainability
The ultimate goal of design is “use”

The product design is intended for reuse
The product is manufactured, placed on the market and then disposed of

Certified LCA-based services

How can we measure and reduce environmental impact during the design phase?
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an objective scientific method for calculating the environmental impacts of products or services .
The studies can then be certified through ISO 14025 , also known as EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), ISO 14067 (product carbon footprint), critical review according to ISO 14040 and 140444 , or other LCA-based certifications and attestations, also with a view to implementing the next Digital Product Passport (DPP) defined by the ESPR Regulation (also called Ecodesign Regulation).
LCA quantifies energy and material loads and environmental impacts throughout the entire life cycle, from raw material to end-of-life (Cradle to Grave).
This method allows to fully understand the environmental impact of different productions and identify more sustainable solutions , contributing to an integrated sustainability policy for products and services.

GHG Inventory
(Organization Carbon Footprint)
How do you calculate the environmental impacts of your entire organization?
Differences between product and organizational carbon footprint.
One of the environmental impacts that can be calculated through LCA is the Carbon Footprint of a Product or Service (CFP, i.e. the quantity of climate-altering gases emitted during the life cycle of the product or service).
The reference standard for the Carbon Footprint of a product or service is ISO 14067 which defines the principles, requirements and guidelines for the quantification and reporting of the CFP , based on the international standards for LCA studies (ISO 14040 and ISO 14044).
A slightly different study is the calculation of all emissions related to an organization's overall activities over a given period of time.
It is officially called GHG Inventory although it is known as Organizational Carbon Footprint (OCF) . It clearly identifies the emission shares for each category.
The ISO 14064-1 standard allows you to certify the calculations made, and therefore your GHG emissions , in order to implement policies aimed at transparently communicating your impact as well as your commitment to environmental sustainability to your stakeholders.

Environmental product labels
LCA studies are the basis of EPD-Environmental Product Declarations , type III environmental labels regulated by ISO 14025 and which, thanks to the use of rules defined for specific product categories (the PCR – Product Category Rules), are able to guarantee:
greater comparability of results;
reliability for the supply chain;
certified data in line with the requirements of the digital product passport (DPP).
More precise and stringent rules (up to 5 levels of technical standards to be respected and certified) > more precise and reliable calculation.
Mandatory publication of declarations > Greater exposure of the declarant, whose study becomes a benchmark.
Possibility to communicate much more data than carbon footprint (+30 impact indicators, in addition to CF).
Ability to quantify the benefits related to the recycling and regeneration of materials and energy (Module D).
International recognition and visibility of product environmental performance > for the selection of best-performing suppliers.
Compliance with the Minimum Environmental Criteria – CAM defined by the Ministry of the Environment.
